Guys! how much are you currently paying for truck insurance (100k cargo and 1million liability). And what company do you think is the best in the business?

If you are new, you don’t have many options. Progressive is who most new owners have to use the first year. And the rates are high depending on state. Im in PA and my first year is $17,500.

PA with Progressive here too and went from $8400 to $12,600 when I bumped it from 750k to 1m. That liability is stupid expensive.

For fun I answered one of the quick online quote emails I received and it was for 35K!!!! I got a good chuckle out of that. Then I told the the girlfriend Progressive denied me and that was the new quote. She was not amused.

Hopefully others will chime in on this. Great West is one that is suggested often. Can’t think of any others at the moment.

    LOL.

Reminds me of when I went for truck financing. The "broker" I contacted offered me 18% APR with 10% down that then became 20% when I was closer to choosing a truck. I felt desperate and almost went for it when I had an epiphany that the bank near me catered to farmers and merchants. Literally part of their name. Farmers buy trucks. So I called them and she said she didn't know if she could beat the offer I already had (I hadn't told her the terms) but she said they could do 6% APR and nothing down. I told her I loved her.

The bank near me is only a few blocks away from my house, on the same street, same side, and catty cornered with my post office where I get my broker checks to the po box. So it's basically perfect.
