I’m trying to figure out what fuel cards to get as a new owner operator. Pilot/Flying Jay has my favorite parking and shower program so I defiantly want to get the best card for them but I also want to get the best fuel card for TA/Petro, and possibly Loves and mom and pop places. From my research it looks like its between NASTC and CommData for TA/Petro. My personal credit is slightly under 600 so I don’t qualify for CommDada’s line of credit but I can prepay with them. I would like a card that will give me a line of credit that I don’t have to prepay. I was going to get TCS but it doesn’t help you build any credit so thats out. I’m not sure about FuelMan, FleetOne and yes I know MudFlap is good. I’m waiting to get a debit card from them. Help there are to many options and not enough information on them!!!

I use RTS and it has Pilot and Flying J with a lot of other places. Pretty good discounts if set up correctly.

NASTC you can also prepay I do believe..
Even with having credit like I have you pay the bill every week. I have them take it out of my account once a week. You can set it up to pay twice a week or you can login and pay anytime.

I did get the Axle fuel card for Pilot/FJ but I couldn’t get much of a savings ($0.12 ) with it so I canceled it.

The other thing to consider is if you bounce around to different brand truck stops you may not get the full benefit of their points programs.

I use the NASTC fuel network and lately I’m struggling to reach gear 5 which is when the full rewards kicks in..Just not running as hard anymore with depressed rates.

    Siinman Thanks this.

I thought of doing comdata, but they want $8/month/card plus $2.00 transaction fee.
I use Motive fuel card, it’s like .21 off loves, more than their in-house card which is only .14
