Are they the heaviest traveled interstates or areas for moving freight? If that is correct, where does Richmond, VA fall in that scenario?
Thank you.
What is meant by "freight lanes"?

Every company has a list of shippers and consignees. The movement of loads from shipper to consignee is a freight lane. A lot of freight moves up and down the I-95 corridor.

And we must deliver stuff in Richmond because I have a drip there tomorrow.

I hate getting the drips down there.

Freight lane can be used as a general or specific term. A company out of NYC that hauls stuff to Miami and then reloads produce and hauls it back to the Northeast would consider I-95 their freight lane and might hire anyone that lives along the corridor.
Drivers that live near major freight lanes have a wider choice of companies to drive for. Richmond Va has no shortage of freight. Inbound/outbound and through freight. You should have many choices of companies available to you for employment.Laner99 Thanks this. -
Obviously I meant drop by the way.Laner99 Thanks this. -
