I just saw a driver that had a 48 ft walking trailer, and he had a load of groceries on.Will it be a good idea to add one of them to my arsenal? I was thinking in between ag,and possible general freight,it may be a good go.

If you don’t know what one is it’s a safe bet you don’t need one.
Search You Tube for videos of them, there are quite a few on there.alien4fish, Dominick253 and Ruthless Thank this. -

Yeah, a "walking floor" trailer only "walks" when you engage it, right ? So you can use it like a regular floor if you want. But so you know, you can "engage" it and "walk" pallets to the rear if you want. Just need to guide them, make sure they go rearward correctly. Walking floor usually used for bulk wood chips or sawdust loads.

And most are open top..... So even with a water tight roll over tarp system you always have to worry about getting things wet.....
Back in the day I pulled one hauling processed bark one way and roofing shingles back. I could barely make money then. And know it wouldn't work today.
This is what they really do.

Also they are not cheap. I had a buddy that ran one for about 9 months, and sold it because of very little return
