I run an Omnitracs ELD. I was familiar with it and chose the unit based on that when I broke free and went out on my own. It's very reliable and customer service is good too. The unit is a bit bulky for these modern times and takes up more room than I would like but it serves its purpose well. My Drivewyze account is also part of my monthly subscription for the ELD. They just raised the monthly price again to $56.20 so I was curious what others are paying for their subscriptions and their reliability, and customer service traits for your brand as well.
Thanks

What does your ELD cost monthly? Brand? Reliability?

I'm a company driver wondering what that would cost.....but we are using samsara and it's by far the best elog I've ever used. It's a dismounting tablet that you can also run your logs from your phone.

Just added another vehicle gateway yesterday for another truck.
Going to update my dash cameras(outward facing only)
This is 3 trucks yearly.
I don’t usually have trouble out of it, sometimes phone will disconnect if you walk away with truck running and go sit and eat, go back it’ll show engine hour difference.Last edited: Nov 10, 2023

Customer service effective and available.
I hate elogs - especially paying for them, but found this better than Qualcomm and their junky bulky units and rats nest wiring.Siinman, Concorde, TheLoadOut and 1 other person Thank this. -
I got the Omnitrac also, with Landstar. Not sure monthly price as I am sure all the payments that come from my settlements each week include a little lump for them as an administration fee. I like that the Omnitrac isn't connected to my OBD port on my truck. The Pedigree ELD, if you want to talk about absolute junk, that one takes the cake all day every day.

Just put it on your windshield right in front of your face. Seems like all the rage with the steering wheel holders these days.

We've been using Konexial, $300 per year for one truck & driver. It's pretty good, we run it on an Ipad in the truck, and support is excellent. We use it because it uses Geofence technology to automatically change driver duty status when traveling outside the 150 mile ag-exempt range. Saves a bunch of aggravation for the driver compared to doing it manually and squeezes the maximum possible range out of the exemption.
