That means you can haul a ld in them.
So their rate might be lower than a non load out. But that ld must be going in the same direction as the trl needs to be going. Plus their is a time limit
Now if the shipper or receiver screw the inside up. Guess who is on the hook over damage of the other person's trl.
I guess people do it all the time.
I don't do towaway trls. -
Say you pick up a brand new Great Dane dry van in Terre Haute, IN from the factory for $300 and you have 3 weeks use of that trailer but need to deliver it in Tempe, AZ or wherever.
Like someone said hopefully it doesn't get damaged. They are not always new trailers. Beware and make sure you get the fone details spelled out clearly in a contract. If you are a new o/o without the funds to purchase or lease a trailer it can work in a pinch. But it would suck to be dependent on it.
Your trailer is always your money maker. The truck eats it. Doesn't matter if you are independent or leased. Get your own trailer that puts food on the table. Better yet get different kinds of trailers and diversify.passingthru69 and wr2001 Thank this.
