Not quite a leased on driver is not an O/O a O/O has his own authority land star refers to there drivers as BCO'S that's what I understand.

Let me help you with basic understanding of English. An Owner is someone who has legal possession of something be it physical or intellectual property. An Operator is a person or entity who controls the function of something.
An Owner/Operator in this case would be the legal owner of a truck who also operates said truck. If you'd like to differentiate more feel free. You can call me a "Leased O/O" and those with their own operating authority an "Independant O/O" if you like... but until you can find the someone else to pay my Flipping 2290, Truck Payment, Tags, Insurance, IFTA, Etc then you will refer to me as an Owner Operator...
