A friend an I are going to buy a truck, soon, what I been looking at theres are lot of high mile trucks out there. I understand about buying one taken care of and i been reading to stay away from egr trucks. We are looking at KW w900,t660,t600 or Pedrobilt 379. but what is your opinion on a million mile rig, or even 800,000 and with what kinda spec. going to be pulling skate board with it.ty
What are your thoughts on a million mile truck when buying used yes no?

u can find a good deal if u dig. bought my 95 w9 with 1.6 mill on er for 16k from a oo. had been rebuilt at 1.2, engine tranny rears and more. all paperwork to prove. if ur going older find one that has been redone once with not a ton of miles on the rebuild. u buy one with 800 to a mill on er that hadnt been redone yet better have some coin ready to redo it. cuz its coming soon. if they cant cough up the paperwork to prove the work walk away. a track record of oil samples is good to see too. ask who and where they have the truck worked on and call their mechanic
my buddy bought a 50k truck with 1 mil on it and no rebuild, month after having it hes rebuilding and replacing alot of stuff i cringed when he told me. he also bought it from a slick willy salesman at a dealer that couldnt prove any work had been done but was SURE this that and the other had been and also couldnt give even the phone number of prev owner
thats my .02The Challenger and cableclown Thank this. -

Million miler may have a million things wrong with it. do you know anything about the engine, transmission, or rear ends, do you have your own shop to work on it, or do you have lots of money to throw away.

We ended up getting an 06 pete 387 ISX 13 speed 800,000 rounds $25,000.not a bad truck i gone thru it.I also found the owner thru his DOT and had good stuff to say about it.he is at no lose and nothing to gain since he already had his deal done.I am very mechanical, and know a lot of stuff and how to do a lot of stuff and we have a shop so we are good there thanks peeps
