Showers if paying cash at TA/Petro are $12, Not sure what Pilot costs now but it wouldn't be higher than that. Truck washes are whatever, anywhere from around $30 to $40 plus for tractor only and most truck washes are separate from the truckstops which may be nearby.
Most places give free showers with a fuel purchase of 50 gallons or more, but you need a rewards card to get one at the majors now.
Wifi may be free at an inside restaurant like McDonalds but usually is pay by cash or points in the lot. The useability varies widely.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
T/s vary on diet from Denny's to Subways, Arby's, etc. Some may have the dollar menu or not. Subways' still have in some places the $5.00 footlong on certain sandwiches. Of course having your own cooler or refrig and microwave, or even a crock pot, or burton stove can go a long way in eating cheaper and better.
Showers are free at most larger places like Pilot, TA, Fly J, Love's, for 50 gal of fuel.. Showers are only good for so many days.
Trailer washouts are around $35.00-$45.00, tractor and trailer around $60.00 plus
There are a lot more truckstops out there now than even what there was in 2008. Love's have sprung up all over the place, but they usually have the smallest parking lots. In the northeast it is sometimes hard to find a place to find a t/s that is an actual t/s with parking, a lot of Wilco Hess in some areas and all they are is a fuel island.
I use findfuelstops.com to locate t/s for husband, if you open a place in a new tab each time it will list Walmarts, restareas, other places in the area near it. I has really helped out in some of the dead barren areas for us.ExpressDriver, JIMROY, VisionLogistics and 2 others Thank this. -
And maps.google.com is a great way to see the whole route, zoom in and see the area where you are p/u or dlvr'ing to, before you get there. Also there are a lot of companies who seem to run under a lot of different names and the ones where the address is not right at all. Some places maps.google may pickup. Sometimes I use 411.com to reverse a phone number or address, or use the business name. It is like being in the FBI I think sometimes, esp if you can't get a place to answer their phone.

Lot Lizards prices are pegged to trucker pay. In other words, prices about the same as 20 years ago.
