what are the specs of the swift trucks?

    i'm just curious. what are the specs of the freightliners and volvo's that swift uses? what kind of engines, what kind of tranny, etc. also, the trucks are only a couple years old, right?

    I drive a volvo with a 400 cummins and an eaton 9 speed
    The first truick I had was an 05 this one is an 09

    Specs= Horse power rating, torque ratings, transmission speed, rear end gearing....


    I have no clue except for SLOW!

    As my fleet manager said to me when I asked what type of truck he was getting us two weeks ago to replace the volvo we had: "it'll be white and say Swift in blue lettering".

    No APU's? Maybe the Internationals will have the battery pack setups like Crete has.

    GF's son said they are getting the Volvos with the airbags on the steering. They ought to float!

    Bad thing I have seen about the Volvos is people complaining the headlights are terrible.

    The headlights on the volvos aren't terrible but the internationals sure are better. Between the two I like the internationals a lot more for a number of reasons.
