I’d say the progressive might be your issue. There are quite a nice handful of brokers that refused to work with progressive. They can be a pain in the butt on freight claims and not pay.
What are the reasons a broker won't book with you?

I had Great West before I changed to Progressive. They gave me a better premium. That is why the change.
Often, people said best insurance for truckers is Great West, Progressive, and Northland.
I might then change from Progressive at the renewal. -
I started with Great West and switched over to progressive. They offered better rates. I noticed some broker saying they wouldn’t use me because of the insurance then progressive raise their rates higher. When I added a driver midterm during the policy, progressive beat me up big time. Much more than Great West. It’s not like you’re going to hire a driver at the very day you renew. Now I am back with Great West once more.Last edited: Aug 9, 2024

The amount of fraud in the last 2 years has increased massively and done a lot of damage to small carriers but also brokers who simply can't afford to trust a random caller. I still receive phishin emails summoning me for FMCSA online audits but thats all scam to steal your MC authority credentials. If you show inspections on Safer, that gives you more credibility and better place in the pecking order. There's still too many carriers on the market. Brokers can afford to sift out those with no inspections and those who they don't know to avoid risks.

Beaver, I also don't have many inspections and don't have a problem. You might want to start digging with ones that turn you down. Call carrier services (if they are big enough to have that dept). If it's a small brokerage they should be willing to tell you why.
Do you run dry van? Reefer? Or otherwise. I'm dry van.
You could also post this question in the broker forum and see if some of them might be willing to help you figure it out.Beaver9 Thanks this. -
We should get one thing clear. Brokers don't need your inspections to show you have a well maintained truck or maybe that too but to a lesser extent. They want to see inspections so that they know that you have an authentic truck that is operating on U.S. roads. Too many double brokering fraudsters in recent years. These problems do exist and are omnipresent in the independent owner operators community.

Agreed, but I think it's their insurance regs as well.

I'd like to call reference to the 1940 movie "They drive by night", when Joe Fabrini( George Raft) slugged that broker for ripping him off,,,that was beautiful!!
