What are the highest paying companies working in the oil fields in Pennsylvania? Also it doesn't have to be only trucking. I hear Schlumberger is pretty good to its drivers. Any recommendations from experienced oil field workers? Also when I start looking into other companies I will have a couple years experience hauling sand in pneumatics. -C

Just an FYI, it was reported that Pennsylvania lost 20 rigs last month and we're now operating under 100. The price of natural gas is not where it should be and although the boom is still here it's anyones guess how long it will actually be here.
I don't know about good trucking companies, they all seem to be about the same here, but as far as rig work go's Patterson UTI Drilling looks to be one of the better outfits. I haul fresh water to some of their rigs and have spoke with their guys and they seem happy, money is good and the 14 days on 14 days off schedule seems to work out well for them. -

Be forewarned! I am from that area, and have been contemplating moving back there. The large OTR trucking companies are discovering this market(drilling), and are trying to move into the drilling tanker business. Examples are Schneider,Smith Transport, etc.. These companies will cut each others throats, and under cut everyone to get in there .Prices are sure to take a drastic fall for tank drivers.
