I've always admired the looks of the long wheelbase Petes... What's a truck like that best used for ?

rides smoother, much more stable and resistant to jack knifing or sliding out of control. Has more room for big tanks, apu, pusher etc...

Edit: Also good for front overhang if hauling long loads.

Rides like you're floating along... maximum comfort. For some flatbed work I'm sure the front overhang can prove useful rather than rear overhang then buy permits. Mostly for the ride. And to fire up the haters who say the folks who drive stretched out hoods just burn all their revenue in fuel. Whatever. I want one anyway. Lol...

Probably hauls 70 foot flatbed loads. He can overhang all he wants on the front and not have to worry about rear overhang for permits and lights and such.

Looks stupid, won’t handle, can’t get thru truck stop parking lot.

Chrome, lights, stupid body mods = disco dancer. Boys with glitter make-up.

“Look at me! Look at me!”

Any wonder the shifter is tall enough we’re supposed to watch them play with their rod in traffic?

Runnin a load and a half 100+ mph through the mountains and across the desert.

I’ll admit some are wannabes but it would be a mistake not to honor the outlaws and pros of the old’n days. Most backed up more miles then many have driven forward.

I always found them very beautiful but they got to be a pain in the rear or probably impossible to back them in the smaller pee-lots after 8pm.
