during your slow season you will likely make more Monet and be home when you want.

I recommend driving for two or three companies though.

the learning curve can be expensive so be prepared for that.

I found that TruckMovers is in Jackson County, Missouri and downloaded the county form to file in small claims court.

Is there someone out there that has filed suit and could help me with who the officers of the corporation are? I believe Tom Duvall is the CEO. Any advice will help.

In the end, the only "perfect" company will be your own, but unfortunately, then the grass will be greener on that side! It's because of all the #### flying around in our industry. Fertilizes both sides :)

The grass may be greener on the other side, but it's still grass.

Yeah, but I don't want it to be burned up before I get there!! :)

I sat here and checked out drive-aways for semis and RV's for 3-4 hours. They all seem the same---get what you can from the driver, screw them over. So I think I will quit looking. There doesn't seem to be any good companies out there anymore.

Truck movers is ####. I mean beyond ####. There some of the worst people on the planet. The people that work at truck movers get paid #### and the only way they make a buck is by cheating out the drivers. They stole over 1000$ from me. I have been planning on sueing them but just dont want to deal with them. I from the bottom of my heart hope they burn in hell.
But anyway there are good drive away companys out there. I work for 3 but im not saying who. Im very happy and they treat me right. Not all driveaway companys leave you for dead. Some moths I make close to 8grand take home...yea. but if my tow car is not working im not working. Keys are work for at least 3 companys and have a tow car. Be able to move anything (have propped equipment) drive slow, plan your route, stay out for big stretches, sleep in car, dont use hotels, keep moving ( dont sit and wait for loads if when your done and your next load is not ready , dead head somewhere. Be nice to your dispatch dont except everything they throw at you. Its up to you to decide whats #### and whats a good load. You see start remembering what companys are good trucks to move. Where not to deliver, routs, tolls, what trucks are fuel mongers. And most important great car insurance with a plan b if your car goes down.
I won't tell u who I work for because I font want the competition. Just stay away from a polo (I heard they suck) and if you work gor truck movers get some Vaseline.
    yea

Thanks for the advise and I can understand you not wanting any competition. However, I am not looking for something full time. Maybe 1or 2 good trips a month. I am retired so I have an income but it would be nice to be able to see the country and put a little cash in my pocket while I am doing it.
I started to put in an application with Truck Movers but after seeing the reviews here, I decided not to. I spent the next 3-4 hours looking at different drive-aways (Semi and RV) and I can't find ANY with good reviews. That is why I asked you drivers that know the system and companies what would be a good company to drive for. So far, ALL have given good advise but no help finding a good place to work.
When I was driving OTR, drivers stuck together and helped each other out. What happened to the "old School" drivers??? Is everyone out just for themselves, or are there some REAL truckers left that will help another driver find somewhere good to be?
I do appreciate all the advise and will appreciate any pointers I get concerning good companies.

Go to the Missouri Secretary of State website @ sos.mo.gov and click on "Search for Business" and it takes you to a search. Just leave it as "starting with" and type Truck Movers in the search box. It appears the company has a rather strange history and the only active one I found was another company instead of a registered agent. But if you look at all of them, there are several different people listed as agents. It looks like the most recent agent may be Kory L. or maybe that Tom D. you listed. The site lists addresses for registered agents also. Strange, there is what they call a fictitious registration that lists Dealer's Choice. You look up Dealers choice and it goes back to Tom D. I believe the Secty. of State charges for a full business report, and it may be worth your effort. I hope this helps you. It may help other truckers who have problems. Everyone needs to know that each state has it's own Secty. of State website, and anyone can get basic info if they are willing to do a little detective work.

they settled the matter with me so no need for small claims court. i dont know why they settled but happy they did. the matter arose from the dispatcher NOT listening to me and accepted my counter offer. when it came payday, it was all messed up. i had an email as hard evidence that the dispatcher screwed up. his supervisor refused to budge so i asked to speak to his supervisor. that is when i got an acceptable counter offer. in the aftermath, it appears there is no hard feelings on anybodies part. i insisted that this was only business, not personal, although i admit i speak with authority, knowledge and passion, so it probably came across as life and death... i dont know since i cant look into their head. in the end i came out a grand richer and only 400 dollars short of what i wanted.

word of advice to all. if you are offered a deal that appears to be too good to be true, write it up and email it back to the dispatcher. say you will not roll until you have written confirmation of the deal. in the future, i will be very careful, and will flat refuse runs i dont want, no matter the promised money. let them find some other sucker.

I currently work for auto truck transport,,and your comment is 100 percent wrong,,truck mover is the lowest truck hauler on the poll,,,auto truck drivers are 2 cond to none,,,and all the companies are JHT holdings,,just ask the judge who took 2 and a half years to decide it! And unimark
is now our brothers and sisters in the IAM union, UNITED WE STAND,,, you sound as if you one of the owners of truck movers, I see truck movers every day around everywhere, and know the turnover rate is so high it's ridiculous, when they do a job and owe the company money, something is wrong!
    AND THATS THE FACTS JACK!!
truck movers do not have the Volvo or international account,,iron tiger does, and the do not contract from truck movers!
