It's time to replace my 5th wheel. Springs keep breaking its over a million miles old now.
Which brand do you prefer? I currently do drop and hook operations.

I have had Jost, Fontaine, and Holland. Jost is cheaper. I just bought a new Jost if I remember correctly it was under $1300. The low lube Jost was $2000, I probably should have gotten the low lube. Fontaine is a good 5th wheel as well, and they used to cheap to rebuild. Holland is very expensive, and expensive to rebuild. My last 5th wheel was Holland and the rebuild kit without the Teflon plates was $1000. Hope this helps.

Bean Jr. and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Jost will work on a Fontaine tower. They will just have to grind off the welded "X" on the tower where the 5th wheel bushings go.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

21AD6A8A-A09F-454D-B625-0DBD2F6C48E3.png Guess I’m the only Holland fan. Always heard they were the best. Just replaced the original on my 2001. Same Holland. Brand new not rebuilt. Paid $800 from a Guy who buys TruckLoads of surplus items. He had other brands too. One Fontaine with a double length slider set up. Not sure what that’s good for. Hollands heavy. Looking at rebuild kits, and instructions on all 3 brands convinced me that Holland is the best. Simple design and fool proof mechanicals compared to the others. Good for another 20 years. They’re probably all good. Just rather stick with what has always worked in the past.
