What do you mean you go through yearly training to maintain your Rigpass?

 

If you're a sand hauler using a pneumatic trailer, and you breathe in the fine sand particles, you'll risk getting silicosis later down the road. Like @Lepton1 said, you wanna make money, be the go-to guy and get the good work? Shave that crap off your face. I've been in the oilfield in ND for 10 years, and I've never once complained about having to shave. Wanna have a hippie beard, piss and moan about having to shave? Then stay outta here.

 

Maybe it's every other year. It seems we have about six safety orientations every year, for one thing or another. Most are specific to particular customers. One is a certificate issued by my company, over and above RigPass (not certain why we have that).

 

Ah okay. I was told my rigpass was a 1 time class to certify me and it never expires.
