I have a RTX14609B trans and I'm wondering if a wet kit would have to come off that exact trans or if it can come off of any Eaton fuller trans if so which one?

I can't speak for that transmission, but I do know the 18 speed and 13 speed interchange. Is it a Chelsea pto?

Your best bet would be to get with your local hydraulics place, give them the transmission model and see what is compatible. That way you would know what you are looking for and could search the used market. I just sold a complete kit minus the tank for $1000 and it had only been used four times. If your area is like mine, new would run you a bunch more than that. Happy hunting!

    BryRylanKW Thanks this.

to the best of my knowledge they are all the same. the gear inside is the same as it has been for many many years and the mounting flange is also the same. for some odd reason when i put a pto on my 18spd i was told it used a thinner adapter plate since i went from 8 bolts to a 6 bolt pto. i used what they gave me and it has worked fine for 6 years. otherwise tho nothing different. maybe that helps, just my 2 cents.

It's also important that the pto has the proper shims between the transmission and pto for proper mesh with the gears.

The mounting flange is standard as far as I know but the drive gear sometimes turns at a different rpm. My 1st boss had one truck that you had to run flat out to get it to lift the box in a reasonable time and another one that raised it too fast. A good trans shop can tell you the best pto gear to match it up to yourtrans. My 18 spd required a 113% pto IIRC. The pto output shaft ran 13% faster than the trans gear. Setting the lash is no big deal. You can do it by feel if you want.
