wet kit/ end dump question

    got a wet kit from a friend that was fairly complete,got it mounted and down to the line from truck to trailer. i see them sold in 10 ft lenghts, do i need that much? my pressure line is at the back of the sleeper. also are the coupler/quick connects standardized or different from trailer to trailer? one more question..what type of oil? atf,10wt??and how much? i have a 50 gal tank and plan on using a 38ft frameless,do i need all 50 gal.s? thanks in advance.

    I use a 10 ft. section, you can always tie up excess, at least that way you always have plenty for hard turns and things like that. of course, it really just depends on your truck and your own preference. for the connectors/couplers, most people use the "wing" style 1 inch male coupler on the tractor and the trailer, and the 1 inch "wing" style female couplers on both ends of the hose from your tractor to your trailer. those are kinda pricey, but work very well and are durable. that's what most guys use though.....

    as far as hydraulic oil, many use different weights based on where they run, but I live in southern ohio, and use aw32 and it has always done a fine job winter and summer for a dump trailer.

    if you have 5o gallons, you should atleast have a minimum of 40 to 45. you don't need 50, but you need atleast 40 or so to fully extend the cylinder on your trailer.
