Well I wasn't sure if I was going to bother to write this review or not. However I feel that people should know what they are getting themselves into. So far I have only finished the first week of class room time and next week will be going out into the trucks.

If you are thinking of going to this school be sure to ask who your class room teacher will be. If you get Cynthia than you are good to go. She can quote just about any section of the CDL handbook from memory, even telling you exactly what page, what column, and what paragraph the quote comes from. She is extremely knowledgeable of the CDL tests and is able to tell you just about exactly what to look for when you go to take them.

If they say you will get a guy named Joe, and Cynthia wont be available, then your better off keeping your money. Luckily Cymthia was available to come in and help out with the class, however I think they are trying to faze out her time in the classroom. Joe had no knowledge of the CDL handbook. He was unable to even read two sentences back to back without stumbling over his words and having to start over. If someone had a question on something that was gone over out of the book all he was able to do was reread what was written in the book. When we were taking the in class quizzes he had no clue as to what the answers where, and if there wasn't total agreement between the students as to the answer, then he would say, "Well what I would do....." Well we didn't care what he would do, we wanted to know what the answer was. Ohh by the way, what he would say is what he would do, normally wasn't listed as a possible answer.

It was really sad, because finally the some of the students got fed up and went to the campus manager, who also happens to be Cynthia, and pretty much beg her to come back in and teach the class. However she wasn't always free to come in and assist with the class. This gentleman that they had teaching the class has no place in being a teacher. I truely believe that this is a guy that is coming in from doing the road/yard training, that is no longer able to perform those duties. However he is far from being a proficient classroom trainer and made learning the information that was needed during this week very difficult for most of the people in class.

I am not necessarily giving the school a bad review at this point, I am just saying to make sure to ask who your class room instructor will be and if Cynthia is not available to maybe wait until she is. I hope this information will help someone who is concidering going to WePac in Stockton.

    Good Luck and Be Safe

Dang man it sucks that you got a weak instructor. At least you had someone who knew what they were doing Come in and help out. Hopefully you won't have the same issues out on the range.

Yeah Cynthia was great, and she knew how to explain things in a way that made things stick. What worries me is she described the other teacher as a great instrutor and that he really knew his stuff. So it makes me wonder what she is using to base her standards on.

Well she might have said that because she just didn't know or maybe she just didn't want to bad mouth another employee. And you never know, he might actually be a good range instructor, just not so good with the classroom stuff.

Well we went out to the trucks on Wednesday to go through the airbrake test and he couldn't even walk us through that without having the paperwork in hand and having to reference it at every step. It was funny, when it was my turn to do it, I walked him through it. Having 14 yrs in a bus, that was one part of the testing I wasn't worried about.
