So for the first 300 paid training hours at Werner are those $325 and $350 paychecks before taxes or after taxes? should i expect less than that or is it really what they say it is?

    You're kidding right?

    That's before taxes.

Figure in your meals. You got one BIG check coming.

    LimpyLegs Thanks this.

My Swift training pay was higher than Werner's and the checks were tiny! Mostly $200 bring home. Lucky I'm finished and now the acid test begins when I start living the lifestyles of the rich and famous on .26 cpm.. lol

If you take their per diem program you will bring home about 300 a week, if ya dont, probably less than 200.

At that amount per week, I really don't think gross vs. net will be much different.

If you take the per diem they deduct $25 so the first month pay is $300 per week. Most of this is per diem so there is very little social security and taxes deducted.

If you don't opt for the per diem, the pay is $325/week for the first month but the total amount is subject to social security and taxes.

Ditto, I'm on a trainers truck and didn't opt for the per diem. I'm netting $299 a week. Should go up $20 ish next week now that I'm over half way done with my 300 hours. Tough to live on but I'm making do... for now.
