Hello All, Wondering if anyone has purchased from Werner direct. they have a 17 Cascadia 400k miles for $64k. There is another dealer nearby 16 Cascadia with 440k miles for $49k. Wanted to see others’ perspective on is it worth paying 15k more for the werner truck?

I don’t have any real good input here but I would like to mention that it seems werner doesn’t care about idling. In the east St. Louis pilot I’ve seen like 6 of them parked next to each other bobtail idling for a full 34.

Keep in mind the big fleet mentality of pump and dump ....just enough maintenance to keep the warranty intact and dump em shorty before the warranty is up .

Also keep in mind either of those trucks will probably need very expensive work before 700k and maybe an overhaul .

If you are buying a fleet truck, pick one from a company with APU’s that also have decent shops. Two companies with good maintenance are Averitt and Ozark Motor Lines. Both can be found on Truck Paper. This doesn’t guarantee anything but at least you know idiling was minimal.
There are many others.truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
