Hey, I've accepted a job at Schneider, I've got prior OTR exp, and am currently finishing up my two weeks notice to the company I work for now.

When I get to Schneider, how much am I likely to make per week on average?

I just finished creating a budget, and if I stick to it I can make a lot of money... if i get paid decently.

I'm single, no kids, I always put my money in the BANK FIRST, and I take what I need afterwards, I don't take cash advances (never understood why anyone would).

I have always been a firm believer of having an emergency fund and not having to spend more money to get stuff done because you don't have one when you need one.

With my saver-ways if I make $500 a week on average I can put money in the bank. If i make $750 or more I will be able to bank a ton of money each month.

    Hoping that's the case.

Anyone out there have an idea?

I would be a solo company driver.

    Thanks.

Forgot to mention... I live in Florida so not sure if that would affect how many miles I'd be likely to get.

It'll be OTR runs at least at first. Maybe regional/local later but only if the pay is acceptable.

$500 a WEEK??. No-one can accuse you of being greedy. My drivers gross $2500 a week PLUS room & board is provided but it's seasonal. It's easy work and I still have trouble finding drivers sometimes.

Can I come work for you? I gross about 1k less than that to half that and work my butt off for it :yes2557:

Love my job though so not complaining too much lol.

If you're a runner, I would think 700-750 is still possible. I left OTR and started running oil field trucks because the pay is double what I was making OTR. I pulled skateboards and when the housing crap happened in 08, I started starving.

I know nothing about Schneider except that they are orange and slow but congratulations on being a saver. Many people cant live on $1000 a week sadly.

$500 a week is easy with Schneider.

You can make a lot more, if you watch whats going on. Follow the system, and work within the system.

As long as you're willing to move. They'll make every attempt to move you, legally of course.

Once you figure out their system and like pattyj said APPLY YOURSELF I am sure you could take home $700. YOU have more control over how much YOU make, than some drivers will let you believe.

    pattyj and BigMike13 Thank this.
