Does anyone use an app to view weather and road conditions? I was thinking this could be good to know whats ahead of me this winter.
    Thanks

I don't know if there's a good one for the whole country.

Lots of states have their own Apps though.

I'm assuming you have a smartphone, so best bet would be to use NOAA.gov

That being said, if you have a CB then use the NOAA channel if it's equipped. I don't know of any good apps for weather, but one I just recently started using is called Waze. It does do traffic as well...

    noaa.gov

    https://www.waze.com/

I'll ask my brother when I see him next, he may know of a good one.

    MyRadar is an excellent app.

Web sites I regularly consult for trip planning:

    m.accuweather.com/en/us/national/weather-radar

    www.weather.com/maps/current

oss.weathershare.org <--- outstanding for 11 western states, gives current road conditions, highway camera views, road hazards including crash incident updates from highway patrol, etc. etc.

I consult all of these before any trip for trip planning, during 30 minute breaks, before starting each day, etc. etc.

I use "Weather Bug" app has my location with radar and an hourly forecast if needed. Also you can type in where you are going so you will know what to expect.

Yup!!! The most valuable app I've ever installed. The radar image while driving is the best. Updates real quick and shows me what I'm in for. Uses GPS to show your location within the map also.

Unofficial NOAA weather app. Save locations in there and go to map for radar.

    Also use WB.

Also weather channel - maps - weekly planner for looking ahead, though they just changed the format and me no like.

National Traffic and Road Conditions website will give you a link to all states for road conditions. No app that I'm aware of but I use the web page it all the time.

    I also use accuweather
