Well I have a 2006 century class ex sni I found water on my dipstick so I changed the oil looking for any indication of what's going on and didn't found anything, no water in the oil being replaced, about 10 minutes ago I checked the oil dipstick and found water my mechanic told me it could be the oil cooler or the engine is gone mind you the engine has only 717k miles.... Can you guys tell me anything about or should I just start looking for another truck?
Water in engine oil dipstick not in the oil pan

Change the oil cooler and try it. Cheapest thing first.

No, don't just change parts.
Do a combustion leak test. Fail? Head, gasket, liner etc. Pass? Test cooler. Replace only failed parts.
Don't be a parts changer.
TAback street slider, roadmap65, cbiehl and 2 others Thank this. -
Water or coolant? If its coolant I'd be concerned. If its just a bit of condensation I'd maybe check your blowby tube and make sure its clear.
Straight Stacks and Cottonmouth85 Thank this. -
It's coolant I had to put a gallon of it today

You have GOT TO find out where it is coming from. Dont just change parts blindly.

Yeah and don't keep on driving it either.
Coolant will wipe your bottom end bearings and then you'll have even bigger problems. -
