Watch out for Greatwide Cheetah.

I decided that I was smarter than most and wanted to go independant. (stupid I know) So I looked around did some research (just to enough to get myself in trouble). I chose Great wide Cheetah cause the dispatcher I spoke with said all the right things. You like yeah I have accounts.... Right.... Only about 20% comes off load boards.... Right.
Oh fuel surcharge is on every load....Right.... So I get cleared to drive, took a week and a half... I fly out to Waxahachie, Tx. on my own dime. rent a room on my own dime. then start the search of all the crap trucks at Quality Companies. Will be a feed about them and their practices later.. I deal with them and Great wide directly then get to my dispatcher and tell her to get me a trailer so I can run back to AZ. NO NO not gonna happen. Great wide sends all the equipment and decals and permits to my house. So I bobtail 1910 miles on my dime. (By this time its literally rolling dimes.) Pay fuel tax in NM and AZ. Finally get home get the truck lettered and electronic log installed I am ready. Hey dispatch wheres my trailer and a load I gotta go?
Well the trailer is in Phx, az, there is a load going to Houston. Pays 1700.
I figured that was plus fuel surcharge. UMM NOPE. so after two weeks I finally see a settlement sheet and they did not pay fuel surcharge at all. I complain they say they never separate it out. My response was if I don't get it then the truck don't run. That money is for the truck to help with the fuel expenses. Its not a split able part of the income. I finally had to transfer to a different division to get some one that knows how to split the fuel surcharge out of the load.
Cheetah's response was well we only get the littlest part of the cake we are not gonna make it smaller so you get even more..............
I am gonna try great wide American Trans Freight for a bit and see if they do right.
if not, Suggestions?? it has to be in Quality Companies list of clients or they take the truck.
