Well, weather is warming up and the bugs are coming out. Unfortunately, this also means wading through diesel water muck when you get out to fuel your truck at many truck stops.
Firstly, I'm not going to rag on drivers who clean up their trucks at the fuel island. Personally, I do not do this. I clean the windows and get a truck wash at least once a month or more. I've found that it doesn't do much good trying to wash the truck on the fuel island. It doesn't bother me if you just use the water hose to wet down your windows.
But, all too often, I get out to fuel and the water is almost coming up over the sole of my shoe, and into my shoe. Am I going to have put on my rubber boots to fuel? That water mix with diesel is some bad stuff and gets all over the inside of your truck if you don't wipe your shoes or take them off.
Maybe it's the truck stop's fault for not providing proper draining. But a lot of truck stops have removed the water hoses from the fuel island. And I wish more would follow.
IMHO, the fuel island is no place to wash your truck.

Not as bad, as some guy, trying to do his log book, for the last couple day's. -
What about the guys that don't even fuel but park at the fuel island because it's a fast , easy place to park ?
panhandlepat and GAPrincess Thank this. -
CommDriver Thanks this.

Alot of guy's are just to lazy to park in a parking spot, had one guy pull in behind and told me he was going in to take a shower and leave his truck in the fue island. I just shook my head. I just pulled out of spot and told him it was open, he still refused to park there.
