Notice how they don't have a question like "If I get 122 inspections in three years with only ONE out of service, why is my CSA score the same as a guy who had one inspection and one OOS"? Thats me, 122 inspections currently on my SAFER in just two years but CSA goes three... Anyway, I get no attaboys for the 121 times I was perfect and the same negative hits as a guy with 100% OOS on his inspections. Nice way to reward good behavior right?

Nope. You can get points on the CSA for a warning. It's happened to many drivers. That's why many will take a citation. You can fight a citation. You cannot fight a warning.

yeah, but they're not issued a warning on their csa. they're issued a warning on a citation is what i'm getting at.
when have you ever seen a warning on a csa??? (not commented down below) there's either a violation that comes with points or there's nothing.

csa is either clean or violations with points. warnings are merely citations (tickets) that are commented on csa. as one of the above posts mentioned.

that poster made note as being issued a warning. as in citation. but no fine. from what he sounded like. and it was noted on his csa.

i might be wrong in my thinking. but it sounds like cops are using another dirty method to screw with us. gone are the days of either a citation or a violation. they now use both.

    DOUBLE JEOPARDY. so to speak.

    That sucks guntoter!!
Just goes to show that you can do a million things right, but one minor slip up, and they wont let you live it down. I'm kinda paranoid as a greenhorn of gettin dinged for something obscure just cause the LEO is bored or trying to rack up violations to make himself look good. Its frustrating!!!

Once, a highway patrol caught me going 5 miles above speed limit and put a speeding warning, no citation, on my Vehicle Inspection Report. That was a Level III inspection (done by driver only), so he didn't do any inspection at all. And THAT showed on my list of violations on my PSP report.
Another time, officer wrote "warning" for one headlight wasn't working when he saw it (on a bright sunny day). I jiggled the connection and it started working again... But he didn't care :biggrin_25512: Kept the "warning" and told me to be "thankful" he didn't give me a citation instead... :biggrin_2552: And THAT also showed on my PSP list of violations. Which co. "counted" as points on their CSA. :biggrin_25510:

BTW, National Roadside Inspection or whatever they call is coming next week....

Yea I know my co. Safety dept has been reminding its drivers everyday via qualcomm about this national event. Its giving me an ulcer just worrying about getting points on my clean DAC for some obscure item. :`(

i wouldn't worry about it. it's not the big party everyone makes it out to be. every year it gets smaller and smaller.

this will be my 4th year with only one sighting of a party so far. i've been fortunate enough to not be in the states that have been tearing it up.

this year might be different though.

A "warning" is just trickery the DOT officers use. There is no such thing as a warning. If you received an inspection report and there were violations on there they will be on your CSA report. The officers just say that so you're more compliant. It's really just an insult.

This is absolutely not true. Depending on the BASIC, more clean inspections will bring your score down. It's not just a matter of adding up "points" (that word doesn't actually exist in the CSA methodology). It's not just about OOS inspections either, it's about violations.
