If a company insists on keeping the aformentioned "idiots" who tear up equipment on the payroll, then my own sympathy is also somewhat lacking.

Webster's definition of "insanity" springs to mind.

Show the bad apples the door, and treat the good drivers with some respect. I wish they'd follow at least THAT simple rule at my own company.

I can't complain. Guy gave me a job, and helping with the relocation there. I'm not a trucker, but that says alot to me, especially since he hasn't met me face to face. If it were that terrible with Dot regulations, then it shouldn't be hard to have an investigation started instead of posting on here. If you cannot produce facts to the allegations you claim, then it becomes slander. In which they could put a lawsuit on you. Be careful. I was willing to be a driver for them, but was offered a better job, which is one that I love and been doing all my life. Just saying, be careful with what you say, especially on here and publicly, if you have no solid proof to back it up.

I also just viewed their Dot inspections and seen one truck had 7 violations. All were due to lighting. Nothing major and easy to fix.

First off, you're responding to a post made over 3 years ago(late to the party-I'm sure the OP has moved on to something much better by now).
Second, there is a lot more than just 7 violations for one truck on their record according to FMCSA.
    Safety Measurement System - Overview (U.S. DOT# 1692817)

And to add to @mjd4277 's post...WRITTEN allegations of un-provability are considered "Libel" not Slander.

That's really rich Justin, coming from Max's son. The new Ken at Sunland. a.k.a the used car salesman. Max just tries to be smoother than Ken was.

Let's recap; Guy paid to relocate you, doesn't know you, not for a driving job but in the office evidently. In the trucking industry? And you like the job. Sounds sketchy to me, just say'n. Hey, are you Max's other son that they hired?
