Let me get this straight...you booked a load stating in writing how much the rate was and found out after hauling load that it was not the rate they charged for shipper.

Was the rate that you got a certain percentage or was it a set per mile rate. If the load contract stated certain per mile rate and they violated that, I may be right maybe wrong, but wouldn't that constitute breach of contract or possibly fraud?? If so I would sue the pants off of them.

Hey new guys with your authority, this is why I only hauled for brokers with 2 years or more experience. If that MC wasn't seasoned or they weren't paying with comcheck, I didn't haul for them. I only had two freight bills go bad in 6 1/2 years, and that was two too many in my eyes. Be vigilant, and check their credit!!!

Think you may need to find another lawyer, federal transportation laws are not a state to state issue with interstate transportation regulations.

Brokers are bound by several Federal laws and statutes

So I have been at my job 6 years today. For 5 I have been tracking this guy, and it has to be over 60 brokerages and over $30M that they have stolen. Here are a few of his company names, IN MY OPINION(threatens to sue me all the time)

    Union Pacific
    Empire Freight Lines
    Trans Freight United LLC
    National Truck Lines
    Nationwide Truck Line
    Nationwide Transport Worldwide
    Roadstar Freight Lines
    Gold Coast
    Fr8mate
    American Freight Lines
    Lighthouse Cargo
    Advanced Marketing and Dist
    American Transport and Dist
    American Freight Lines
    Coast to Coast
    Armstrong Trucking
    All Roads Freight
    Olympic Freight Solutions
    Trans Freight United
    Coast to Coast United-Just Canceled
    Worldwide Transport Services-Just canceled

Think about this. On average I have had 25 carriers place debt against these companies, and I have 4 guys that do the same thing as me here. So the numbers that they are stealing from carriers is probably way more than the <the $30M I am guess...

And did you ever collect on those 2?
I had Slow pay in 20 years...But Never a No Pay- If a Broker/Forwarder Closed shop- Customer was Billed- If Customer did not pay (Which they do) Strong Collections occur which will get your money .

Only Way I hear a Carrier Never see Their Money is if a Shipper/customer Closed up within your allotted shipping frame

Well I have over 5000 carriers and 50 factors, representing over 300,000 trucks we have to do collections for, because it cost basically nothing to open a trucking brokerage and therefore, unqualified people do it. Most scams are in business for less than 120 days, usually way less.

Yes Every Load Moves bankruptcy court finally paid out $300 on a $2400 bill from 2004 in 2013 or 14. Never heard from the other bankruptcy court on the other case. Small company and broker declared personal bankruptcy as well.
