Who told you they do not pay. I would humble suggest they are bluffing you. I know Walmart pays millions in detention per year. Part of what the new guy wants to change.

What i've heard from other drivers is where i got it from. I used to haul snack chips into store docks in middle night drops, always had issue's with store's and most managers. I did DC's 20 years ago and stopped, as a company driver. A driver i spoke with recently, showed for his appt at guard house, got to check in window to check in and was told to reschedule delivery due to him being late, to the window. He sat for a day until.

Ha thats funny. Walmart trucks that show up to load at vendors have priority to load first or to drop and hook preloaded trailers. I guess thats contractual agreed for vendor to get the business.

From bloomberg -- "The focus this time is delivery scheduling, and the company’s not messing around. Two days late? That’ll earn you a fine. One day early? That’s a fine, too. Right on-time but goods aren’t packed properly? You guessed it -- fined."
