The Cascadia I'm driving has that 'wait to start' feature. I turn the key to on, After all the gauges do there thing and the def lights go red.and green again and finally the check engine light goes out, I turn the key,and it should start. Well, the last few days sometimes it takes doing that 3-4 times to start...as many as 8-10 times. I'm afraid to turn it off ....starter going bad? Some.relay?? Anyone experience this?

Are you saying that it doesn't crank when you turn the key to "start"? Or does it crank and fail to fire?

Just clicks once. Completely dead. All lights work. It's like you tried to start it before the 'checks' were complete... or as if you didn't have the clutch pushed in.

Sorry if that's not making sense. Trying to be brief since I'm typing on phone.
The truck has a delayed start. You have to turn the key and wait for the system to run a check. When all the lights go out on the display, and gauges return to normal position, you can, start. When I do that, sometimes nothing happens. Nothing. Just one click. Have to turn off and start all over. Last few days it's gotten so it happens multiple times before I can get started. Just leaving running tonight so I know I can roll in the AM.... not a good feeling. It's a penske truck. Ill drop it off once I'm home on Friday... but I don't want to get stranded before then!! Lol

If it's a rental or leasal just call the 1 800 number and tell them it's not working properly? They should bring you another truck because that what they did for me when the electrical system was going messing up.

Yea, Penske is good about that. But I'm headed home after 5 weeks out and I don't feel like emptying all my crap from one truck to another or waiting a day at the shop for them to fix it. Ill be home in 15 more hrs of driving...and it runs just fine...just hard to get started again...but not every time. I get pulled into the scale house in Arizona the other day and forgot to set the high idle before I went inside.to show my paperwork... and it started right up.... but turned off to fuel up earlier and it wouldn't start for 6-8 times of trying....

Clutch switch is the most common cause of your symptoms in a cascadia.
