Hello all, first time posting. I’ve recently crossed over from heavy industrial maintenance to diesel, so I’m learning as I go. Question is this: 2012 international 4300, WABCO hydraulic control unit, the model number is gone but it’s the one with two small air tanks one on each side. I get an alarm on start up concerning brake pressure I’ve isolated the problem to the WABCO. If I tap the right air tank(and nowhere else. The unit kicks in fully and the alarm stops. Valves sticking? It sounds like it trying to engage but can’t get there until the love tap. I want to remove the whole assembly and service it. Any advice on steps to not allow air into the system and do these units require software interaction to “tune” it back in? Thanks ahead of time

If you are working on hydraulic brakes, why do you think those are air tanks? You are dealing with Wabco Full Power hydraulic brakes. Go to this link, download some service information and read up on it to help yourself out.

Like I am going to help someone with a braking system they know nothing about so they can hurt themselves or mess around with something that could cause an accident and kill someone. Give your head a shake. I posted a link for you to click to the Wabco site where you can download all the information you need. Click here Hydraulic Power Brake
Have a nice day!
