Trucks are like women, I treat her gently ,grease good and she treats me well also.I replaced injectors and turbo, no#in frame or other parts; I'm limited to 65mph (105km/h) Ontario truck limit law and use synthetic oil only, maybe this helps.Another team here at Celadon Canada has 1.4 mil same original 2008 D13 and Eaton 13 but Volvo 670.
volvo780/ volvo D13 /2008 i just reached 1,300,0000 miles today

pay the labour about 2000$. After this we did over 600k miles without any problems with injectors;
Turbo actuator goes bad not turbo, I replaced the actuator at 5-600k, and last year at 1.1 mil miles was bad again, and I decided to replace whole combo turbo at this milage.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Careful, ya get too much useful information in your thread, the mods will close it and say you're belittling the rookies. Check the "Am I at risk of having a blowout?" thread for example, finally get some informative discourse, lock it up!

My 04' Volvo d12 has 1.387 on it. Never had a overhead or been apart. Just put on new turbo about 5 months ago. The wheel was going bad but was still working fine. Changed egr valves once and have had one injector and cups changed. Truck is not governed and I pull a reefer most often close to gross. Runs smooth as silk and fuel mileage is still good. I run her 65-75 mph. I wouldn't trade her for any other truck. I had an APU installed so she does not idle and I do 30k miles oil changes.

I should add " Congratulations on getting a lot of trouble-free miles out of a truck you like." And I hope it lasts for many more miles.

I am driving Volvo 2010 D-13 with I-shift but I don't see how you get 8mpg, best I get 7.2mpg with most loads between 35 and 40,000,
What is your game how you get that?Johny41 Thanks this. -
But the mpg on the dash is off about 04-05 mpg ,, i have about 650-700k miles on this injectors and as are getting older the dash mpg is more off . After I took this photo I keep driving until I had over 1000 gallons burned , ; was a pump to pump test with over 1000 gallons to get it more precise, and I did refuel the first and last in same truck stop same pump # @QT in Greenville TX: the dash was showing 8.6..... real from all fuel receipts was 8.2 mpg ,thus included about 4 Regens ,my truck is running a regen @ aprox 2200 miles and lasts 23 min. and about 15-20 hours of idling because I don't have APU ,average weight approx 30,000lbs/ : I"m pulling mostly automotive parts from Ontario to Laredo and back , some loads are light for Volkswagen 15-20,000lbs but we pull also heavy TRW, Accuride, engines for Chrysler 43,000lbs ; The roads are flat on this route, 401, I-75 Ud-24 , I-69,70,57,55,30,35 this make a difference, if 'm heavy i slow down ,to 60-62 mph helps with mpg and less pressure on emission system.Last edited: Jun 14, 2014
