    Hello
    Newbie needs help I have the intention to make me trucker and I would like to know your opinions about the Volvo VNL670 the truth is that since I saw'm in love with its aerodynamic shape low center of gravity but have read some unfavorable reviews people describe many breakages and electric problems .:Repair costs:


    I am looking for the truth
    I will appreciate all comments and reviews about the best tips to start in this world.
    Also say I'm car mechanic but I never touched the mechanics of a truck exept in theory.

    I drove one for a couple of weeks. The information display kept saying I had an open circuit to the trailer lights (or something similar). The trailer lights were working fine, so that warning message annoyed me.

    i bought a 2011 670 with 330k miles on it. i love it. very comfortable and smooth to drive and with the cummins isx 485 i get good power with good fuel mileage. have had no major problems with it yet other than having to replace the #6 injector. and since its a newer engine there are no aftermarket ones yet so you have to go straight to cummins for them, just dont forget your vasoline. some guys ahve emisssion nighmares but i do a parked regen once a week and have had no problems.

    I'm thinking of a volvo but really do not know, I would like to RECEIVE some opinions from more experienced users but to start think volvo after the year 2005 onwards.
    Anyway I do not know if it's the right thing.

    These are exactly the questions I wish someone help me answer
    What year volvo are you thinking of getting?
    What engine are you considering?

    I would go Cummins over Volvo motor. The year should not matter much as the cabs are all pretty much the same. I guess cost would determine how "new" the truck would be. Also, the fewer miles the better. I've been in Volvo's since 98 till 2010. prefer the Detroits, then cummins. I've never been impressed with Volvo motors. Just look into the different emission control devices Volvo has used to meet EPA standards and pick the one that's less troubling?????
