Many Volvo owners (victims) have problem with power window module . Sometime it wont open passenger door or roll windows up or down.
Volvo OEM part is almost $200. Amazon sell them for $35 - 40 but quality very low.

Don't worry. You can fix it yourself.
You need set of screwdrivers from Harbor Freight or similar with ST5 bit. $8
Solder iron 15 - 20 watt and solder with rosin. Walmart sell it.
Pry gently module from the front with flat screwdriver, pushing screwdriver in to push the retaining tab on the module.

Pull front up and gently work with rear to pull module from the panel.
Disconnect wire plug pushing retaining tab.
Unscrew bottom screws with TS5 bit and remove the bottom.
Now you should see top PCB (printed circuit board) with lot of transistors connected with second PCB by flat flexible wires.
Gently pull first PCB up and bend flat connector to open access to rear side of the first PCB .
Do you see how wire connector pins slotted in PCB without soldering? Surprised Volvo went so cheap on electronics.
Make your solder iron ready, inspect PCB for any signs of overheating or corrosion damage.

    You almost done.
Use rubbing alcohol and cotton tip swabs to clean flux residue and PCB. Gate transistors very sensitive for any dirt.
BTW. Wife or GF tooth brush will work the best.
After it dry, put everything back as it was, connect wires and install module in the panel.
Rear side going in first then just push down front.
    Hopefully I help you.

Thank you Snailexpress. My drivers side window would sometime work sometimes not. Roll down then refused to roll back up.
Removed the switch, opened it up and soldered the pins. She works again :headbang:

The amazon part for this switch does work, according to the electrical diagram there is a up relay and a down relay. However, the driver door switch as shown above has it built in the printed circuit board. Glad you fixed it, there is also a fix when the speaker on the back of the dash cluster.

Trust Volvo to overcomplicate a window.
