Good luck. They are basically disposable and WAY over priced for a new Volvo one. I cut one side of my cabinet out and put a Truckfridge T130 in, $600 bucks and huge. Sips power. My four batteries will run it for a week when I'm out of the truck.

Had one in my 07 680 and yep it's a throw away .
New one was 1000 something.
Truckfridge is the way to go .Jarhed1964 and Bakerman Thank this. -
but not sure if any other fridge will fit in the cutout also a different fridge might not be able to snap in on the latches. not sure what route to gobzinger Thanks this. -
If you have a big inverter there is a nice AC dorm fridge with a separate freezer door that fits perfect. It's cheap at Walmart. I had one but it sucked down my batteries too much. Also, you have to add a latch. That's easy though.
I'm pretty sure this is the exact one I had:

It may be from volvo, but I doubt they manufacture them themselves, it's gotta be made from another company. Major providers are truckfridge and dometic. Could call up one of them to see if they have a service center you can visit. Even if it wasn't origionally made by them, they still might be willing to work on it since they make fridges for trucks.
Have you tried pulling out the fridge to see if there is a port to manually add freon to it? Then it's just a matter of finding the type needed. Or could possibly see if there's something else wrong like a fan not spinning or broken wire/fuse.
I had a similar problem with a truck I was leasing a few years ago, Dometic fridge just stopped cooling. Company installed a new one at the terminal and the shop guy said that based on the error light blinking it was a problem with the control board on the fridge, which was common.
