what year is the truck? On this side of the pond, I go to Volvo Trucks North America site look under service then repair lit do a search. To see which system is available. Some you need to pay for U$D 13.50 and some "allow you to View The File" I have the full diagnostics for the Vectro 2000 vs if that will help wont allow printing. On my US MADE 2000 VNL 660 I have found most of my broken wires are where the harness is folded over and tied to take up excess length.

Do you know how many fault codes is? just start fmo engine (MID128), gearbox (MID130), brakes (MID136) ... BBM (MID249), one MID it is one book :)

It is for ex. MID130 PID33,
[h=3]FMI 3[/h]Abnormally high voltage or short-circuit to higher voltage.

    • Conditions for fault code:
    • Voltage over 4.5 V.
    • Possible cause:
    • Short-circuit in sensor circuit.
    • Reaction from the control unit:
    • Yellow light requested.
    • Noticeable external symptoms:
    • Yellow light comes on.
    • Abnormal clutch function.
    • Slow gear shifts.
    • Appropriate check:

I sugest you got truck with I-shift with extermal clutch servo. The problem is that when clutch parts are worn inside oin slowly scratch plastic tube inside and water comes in every time you ride when it is raining and there is small bord in servo (clutch position sensor frequancy to voltage converter). When it is flood it fails.

    No book describe it.

No one book ore PDF file about codes. There are some fault code guids for every system, but my location is Ukraine and system throws me Russian versions.... (((((

what year is tranny? external servo? if yes - it is made by Knorr Bremse and used on old I-shift and on ZF transmisiions (As-Tronic-Freedom line), but connectors are different

They sell servo with wiring, so if problem appeares, check connector and remove tranny cover, remove TCU cover inside and inspect for internal damage
