Hello,
I have a Volvo D13 & need my EGR valve replaced. I've read in numerous places that the EGR valve for a D12 is compatible with the D13.
I called a Volvo dealer and spoke to their parts department in regards to the compatibility. The representative told me, "I believe that they're compatible. But don't quote me on it."
Has anybody replaced their D13 EGR valve with a D12 EGR valve without any issues? Thank you for your time and have a nice day.

buy bolts as well since they dont come with it and most of the time they get messed up those are usually expensive as well. good luck.

Also i recommand you to pay attention the oil lines (2) with fine thread (18 Mm 1.5 pitch) in aluminium egr valve casting for crossthread at installation.
Install the new egr valve with all bolts loose, install oil hoses, torque egr valve bolts, will help you to install those hoses. -
Have a 2004 d12 have a code for egr valve position 1 current below normal or open. Should there be resistance resistance on the valve if so how many ohms. If not how many volts from the engine harness

there should be resistance on the pins for the position sensor and it's a 3 pin dont know exact spec but 100% valve needs to be replaced. being that that sensor is part of valve and doesn't come seperate.

Only for information you can use the Egr Valve sensor come from a Cummins ISX CM 870, that part is available through Cummins parts and fit on D-12D Egr Valve.
