Hi everyone I've have big issue with egr pipe, it keeps blowing last week I changed it 5 times, 3 times in dealerships, they saying everything with the truck is ok, but obviously not! Before it started blowing it I changed egr cooler, also when it runs sometimes low coolant level light goes on and engine shuts off, when I start it again it's ok, idk if it's related, I asked around and everybody is saying the pipe brakes from vibration, pressure is not a reason, so even the egr cooler is clogged it shouldn't brake, my egr1 is disabled now and the pipe broke again it's not making noise but it brakes it even when egr is unplugged!!!
Please share any thoughts
Thank you

check to make sure all egr cooler nuts and holders are on properly most of the time these brackets break the holders or they dont put the bolts back even the proper support in the front, and they keep breaking pipes, so make sure all connections that connect egr cooler to the valve cover the top brackets and all are there properly also there is one bracket in the front as well that you need to make sure it's on.

A blocked egr cooler should not blow a tube.

Hi
We’re u able to find out why it keep breaking
We’re having the same the problemKB3MMX Thanks this. -
On a D-12D engine there is a square aluminum block on the top at front end of the EGR cooler that part is EGR DAMPER make sure that part still there if so remove it (2 bolts) and shake it with your hands you probably feel a loose inside.
According to Volvo (Service At Glance)That part need to be change after some miles.
Hope it can help for your situation.

most of the time i have seen these pipes break its' one of the two things either damper is bad or the other part is that the egr cooler or the egs are not mounted with the proper bolts and they are not getting held on properly causing things to move around.
