Hey all.
On my D13 450K miles I've recently replaced turbo and engine speed sensor.
The issue I am dealing with now, started at the same time my turbo was going bad and I thought it was related, but looks like it's not.
While pulling under load in the range of 1200-1400 rpm It feels like something is slipping. Truck would shake, kick a bit like it would get in small pot hole. No noises of any kind.
Is it clutch going bad?
Any other ideas?

What year is the truck? Are you seeing the needle flutter? No codes? Is the truck hard to start?
-
Not hard to start now, but it was a few times after recent oil change. Had two code for crankshaft position sensor.
Just got those same two codes this morning for Crankshaft Position Sensor again.
But I thought that is that engine speed sensor that Volvo replaced. Maybe harness issue???
Needle Flutter? Did you mean the rpm? Just a bit when it slips. -
possible clutch issue volvo should be able to tell with ptt software other than that it could also be and i hate to say it cuz i sound like a broken record but it could be coming from injectors as well.
BigTennOTR, KB3MMX, Socal Xpress and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'll take injectors over clutch, cause they covered
clutch is around $4K out of the pocket -
well they just have to properly diagnose with that kind of milage it's kind of a far fetch on clutch but it is a possibility they should be able to tell easy ptt makes it dummy proof if you need a clutch or not
-
it should be more than 4k if they replace since they are there replace actuator for cltuch as well just incase so u can save labor when actuator goes bad just have to pay extra parts around 900
KB3MMX Thanks this. -

Yes and no depends sometimes they have a flat spot in a certain speed.

It was giving me a headache last night and today had yet to experience it.
Can it actually be because of the glitchy crankshaft position sensor?
