My wife and I currently drive a 2018 Volvo 780 and it is by far the best truck we have ever been in. We started off in Cascadia’s and then were assigned a Kenworth T680. The T680 was by far the worst and left us in the shop about 20% of the time. It had a Cummins engine which was allowed to the extreme and had a cooling fan that would go off in 10° weather for no reason. The interior was cramped especially in the front. The only positive I can give the T680 is the huge swiveling desk in the back. The Cascadia gets second-place mostly because it has an inferior ride to the Volvo and a slightly smaller sleeper and miniscule fridge. The 780 is huge inside with a very generous refrigerator. There are cubbies everywhere to store your stuff. The only complaint I have is that it needs another cup holder for the driver and the pop-up dinette set in the back is useless for teams and takes up storage space. The D13 and Ishift are smooth as silk. With the windows up this truck is twice as quiet as either the Freightliner or the Kenworth.

It's got a great cup holder right by your leg. Why would you need two?

Ashtray, chew spit cup, coffee and water. You can’t have too many cup holders

Waters in my cooler and one on the dash for washing up. Coke or coffee in the big holder. I dont dip or chew so I have enough. Some small coolers have holders on the tops.

The dinette is very useful for teams, we set it up every time we stop to eat. We bought a king size 3" thick, performance foam mattress topper from Sam's Club. Cut it in half and covered them with 3 cheap twin fitted sheets ( makes them less sticky). They are stacked on top of the dinette cushions. I remove our pillows, stack them in the center of the top bunk. Then roll up the mattress toppers one at a time and stuff one on each side of the top bunk. I leave our sheets and blankets on the top one, so our bed is already made when I unroll it again. We love this truck, would not want anything else.

615k on my 2015 780. No air leaks yet, at least since I've had it.

@midnightrider, yeah the cupholders are lousy and too few of em but that's what makes it a 'European' designed truck. All European vehicles have sh*tty cup holders and too few of em.
I added one of those cheap Walmart plastic tray things with some cup holders in it. Sits on the floor beside my seat.

My biggest improvements have been a swivel seat for the passenger seat and I added a sink to the lower drawer behind the driver. 5 gallon tank under dinette. Love it.

I had an old Pete next to me last night. Rolled the window up and nothing. Just the gentle tickle of the rockets. Volvos are quiet for sure. 106k. No leaks.

The dinette is the best. There is just something about it that makes it feel like home.

Scotty, did you use the factory sink/drawer parts?

I'm thinking about doing the same with my lower drawer..
