Volvo 670 factory refrigerator issue

Hey ladies and gentlemen, and those who have yet to decide...

I'm driving a 2017 Volvo 670 with a factory refrigerator. It keeps dying. When it will work, it's just cool. Not cold. Will never freeze a bottle of water in the icebox section. And more often than not, just doesn't do anything. Which of course nicely ruined a bunch of food for me.

It's a company truck and getting service for a non-required piece of equipment is a pain. Even though it's only 7 months old and still under warranty, getting shut down a day for it is a big deal.

Any suggestions? If I cycle the controls off and then to full, I can get it to come on for a little bit. But it's dead again by the time I stop or by the time I get up in the morning.

I'd appreciate any possible advice.

 

I'll check after my delivery tomorrow. Thanks for the good suggestions. I agree, a 2017 shouldn't have issues like this. But the door to the fridge doesn't like to latch and I had to fix the latch already and you have to slam it to get it to close... Along with a faulty windshield wiper fluid level sensor it's the small things that drive you crazy.
