I'm getting this bad vibration in 2013 Volvo VNL 630 my truck, with a D13 engine and I-shift transmission after 60 MPH, it shakes the steering wheel and the cab. I notice it does it the worst on cruise control, when I give it more fuel it seems to stop a bit, or when I let the fuel off. I have tried everything to fix this issue, but I can't figure it out. I have taken the truck to the Volvo shop, they had it for 5 days and still can't figure it out. So far I have replaced the carrier bearing, front wheel hubs assembly and bearing, steer brake drums, all 6 shocks, greased and service the whole truck, adjusted the ride height, Volvo and a different shop checked my whole front and rear end, drive line balance, and everything check out good, I had it aligned, I also bought new tires Michelin's all 10 of them and added centrematics all the way around, and bought all 10 aluminum wheels. To this point I'm running out of options, any ideas of what it could be?

you are either pulling heavy or need an alignment your tires or suspension need to be realigned had the same thing with my car once tires needed alignment.. it gets out of sort if you bump it good in the front ... like a pot hole or curb

Is it a constant vibration or vibrate for a few seconds then stop for a few then vibrate again?

You likely have a steer tire out of round or balance issue. If its worn into the tire often you have no choice but to replace them, even with good tread left.

Buying new steers? Have them balanced, on the truck of possible. Keep them aired up as hard as you can stand, and dont hit things. Get the toe checked minimal if not a full alignment. Stay away from cheap, no name rubber or you'll be right back where you started in no time atol.

Did they check toe-in/toe-out? If they have it set too close to zero, it'll shake the radiator cap off. A little toe-in will help.

Yes they checked the king pin's, I have done an alignment a few days ago and everything was good, as well just bought new Michelin tires all 10 of them a few days ago. The vibration occurs with a load, empty or bobtail, and is constant after 60 mph. sometimes when I remove acceleration the vibration stops or when I apply more acceleration.

Measure and set suspension ride height to spec. Check drive shaft and all axle angles to be meet spec. Vibrations that change or go away on decell or accell are almost always driveline related.

    Snailexpress Thanks this.
