I've been there and they have absolutely no parking outside the property. There is a Flying J in Smithtown about 8 miles away and a Pilot in Bentleyville. You can check in early and they have an area you can park after check in but it gets pretty crowded and you have to be awake. They call out door assignments on the CB. Btw, the road leading off highway to gate is very narrow too.Mic Thanks this. -
Best thing would be to park at that flying j, the mom& pop place behind the j, or pilot, but they do fill up quickly when evening approaches

Say what? As far as I knew from the last few times they don't say boo about overnight parking back behind the warehouse, granted its been 2 or 3 months. There is a gravel lot across the street from the 7-11 on the south side of the exit where you turn right for Supervalu for parking. I think it's only 1/2 mile from the gate which helps things out greatly.

Last time I was there the gravel lot was barricaded and the lot behind the warehouse was pretty full. I arrived two hours early and it was a tight fit.
Btw, I'm in Sheldon for the night. Have to get my medical card renewed in the morning over in Boyden. -
Hopefully I'll be back in 704 within a week, its just minor damage, its only got just over 50k mileage to go before trade in so i was hoping they would hold off before they would do the repairs, but i guess they want to keep it in good shape for the trade in value...at my last company, i had a brand new bare bones Columbia and got backed into by one of those chicago russian drivers..they never bother fixing the damage at all, and they kept all their truck until they fell apart, and even after it was sold at auction, i seen it sitting at a volvo dealership, still showing that same damage! I wonder how well they are doing with the new freightshakers here, i seen a couple rolling around.

I know what you mean spyder. I did an oops to the bumper on my 386 about the same mileage prior to D day, and I figured they'd at least make me drive around in shame a little while, but nope! Next time I was in Sheldon, they slapped a new bumper and deer pusher right on! Then shortly after that they gave me a brand new KW! Lol
-
spyder, regarding the freightshakers, spoke to one of the drivers and he's not happy. He previously had a volvo and said the fs does not have the room or the power, in short a piece of junk, his words not mine. I'll stick with the neutered KW, LOL.
-
In that case if they offer me a choice between kw or volvo, sounds like frieghtliner still cant build anything worth crap, lol

My truck has 480k on it supposed to be getting a new Volvo next week can't wait. Really looking forward to the additional room, and it will be my first brand new tractor since 1995.
