Does anyone have any suggestions for a place, anywhere in the lower 48, where a driver can park for a week and have plenty to do without moving the truck? What are the parking arrangements? What's nearby?
When I accumulate 7+ days "home time" I don't always want to spend it at home.
Vacation ideas OTR? Where can a guy park for a week?

If you aren't willing to deal with that, then your options are more limited. Vegas has a truck stop near the strip, if you're into that kind of stuff. Nashville has a TA right across the river from downtown, walking distance. Portland Oregon has the Jubitz truck stop, half a mile walk to the train that takes you downtown. These are pretty much the only major cities I can think of that are accessible from truck stops without renting a car or taking a long uber ride.fargonaz and thediscgolfdude Thank this. -
After I read your question, I contacted someone and asked about Las Vegas. He said you can park at the "Orleans Hotel & Casino" where you see other trucks parked. I didn't ask what rooms cost there.
Plenty to do around the area such as Red Rock Canyon area. Do some Google searches for entertainment other than casino's. Rent a car and go for it.

We grabbed a rental car at the Jessup TA one day and had 4 days in north central Maryland with the semi. Since it was parked in a protected area it was no trouble leaving it for day trips with the rental which was easy to turn in when finished. Most of the time you can usually put a truck somewhere for a while. We had a manager friend on the eastern shore where it was no trouble to stash the truck in his store property in the far back corner for a while. Just had to ask nicely and give him notice we are coming in.

What do you like to do? Might make it a bit easier to give you places and or ideas.
If you like beaches, I know several. Even outside of my sandbar. lol.
I feel like Chinatown now when he's helping someone find a company. Ha.

I always went where family and friends were, I spent quite a bit of time in The Land of OB in San Diego. Leo's Bar was a lot of fun. Parked the tractor and trailer at my friends house up in the hills. He had room.

Pick an area you would like to explore for a week and rent an apartment or small house for the week. There are tons of vacation rental web sites, or Air BnB. I would rent a house on the Oregon coast, go salmon and rock cod fishing during the days, and eat really well in the evenings. Work out a deal with a truck stop and pay for parking for the week and rent a car.
