using a 5' firestik as a base antenna

    I have a 5' firestik 2 kicking around and want to use it as a super portable no ground plane base antenna. Do people have any recommendations on how to use it ? Money is limited and I want to use the existing antenna. I'd ty-wrap it to a camera tripod if that worked !

    You'll get a lot better performance out of a magnet mount and a cookie sheet than that.

    Lol a cookie sheet..Sounds funny to hear but its a ground plane..lol..

    Now Bored, it is funny.

    By the way Craig, I am using that right now, it is sitting on a shelf unit in the hall way next to a window and I am listing to the CB on my mark 2 browning that I am selling. I'm waiting for the guy to get here to pick it up.
