Hi everybody!
I have some questions for a school project. I would really appreciate if you could answer from your experiences out in the field.
Do you have problems with using the laptop in the cab?
Do you think your table/tables are enough to do the kind of computer work you want to?
Do you play computer games in the cab that needs big laptops?
And do you use the laptop from the bed, and therefore feel it is important to have a table solution for the bed?
Thank you!
Use of laptop in combination with the table inside truck

It is called a LAPtop....they are so versatile, you can even put them on your lap.
I guess I don't understand the questions. How much space do YOU need to operate something that measures 12 inches by 18 inches? -
I always use my laptop on the sleeper bed. There is a pull out table but ive always used that for paperwork.Laptop is very convenient. If I was stopped I have use it in the drivers seat and use the steering wheel for a table like when im looking on directions.I also have a heating thingy to put under the laptop preventing it from getting too hot. That also keeps my laptop in place.

We sit on the edge of the bed and view the laptop on a small pop out table.
The bed doubles as a chair/ seat
Trucks are pretty well thought out
considering how small they are inside.gpsman Thanks this. -
I use it in the sleeper mostly, on my "LAP". If up front waiting at shipper, i tilt the steering wheel up and use the wheel as a desk for it.

just like the above guys, steering wheel at a shipper, popout table when sitting on bed, and sometimes laying in bed to browse this forum and watch a movie.

Since I had a Pete 387 with no table I kept one of them wooden folding TV dinner tables behind the passenger seat when not in use. It's great for a laptop, eating, paperwork, etc.
The thing about using a laptop on the bed is you block the fan passages and it's easy to overheat one. You need to set it on something where it can breathe. -
The laptop "bottoms" that are available at any Office depot or such would probably satisfy any typical user's needs (if I understand where you're headed with this query). The main thing is to not sit a laptop on the bedding while streaming video. While decoding video, the processor kicks into high gear and needs proper ventilation throughout the bottom to keep from over-heating in the long term. As far as "support", I honestly can't imagine anything that would be useful in the sleeper outside of a basic configuration that could be built at Home depot that would gain it's base support up under the mattress and come up and over to create a "table" that would pivot on the riser. I made one and tested it and found it not all that helpful for me and not worth the space it occupied when not used.
