I worked for usexpress in the past and I found that your recruiters follow through had a lot to do with getting hired. Some recruiters do not do the background checks on a new hire until after you show up. If you don't have your application in order, or have documents to prove what you put on your application, enjoy your bus ride home. I was lucky I asked my recruiter to do the complete back ground check prior to me showing up. And she found that a employer had no history of me. I was able to bring in a w2 and a beginnig pay stub and my last pay stub to orientation to prove my employment record. I knew several guys that did not have that chance and were sent home. I think this is true with most large trucking companies, I would ask your recruiter to process the application in full prior to arrival to avoid any problems.

Dude ull be fine,if u have a good record and they have no issues with ur app... as for worrying about not getting hired because someone is in better shape or has more experience, it doesnt, matter, they dont send u to orientation unless they have a spot for u. I went there a few years ago with only 5 mths xperience and got hired on their dg account no problem, the only thing is they wont tell u ur hired until the last day of orientation. So make sure u have everything 100 percent together. And also make sure u have all time accounted for the past ten years for your work history or they will hold you up, this includes accounting for gaps in employment.... good luck to you....

The only test you need to pass with U.S. Express is the pencil test.
One of their instructors hands you a pencil, and asks you which end is the end that writes. You only get 3 guesses.
If you can pass that test, you are better than 50% of the guys they have driving their trucks. -
Mattywhacker im an ex driver for us xpress they have serious physical tests and as far as 4 months work history they will take you as long as you can verify your gaps if any and exp but if your gonna roll solo us xpress is not the company for you they take solos but they are team company my wife and i drove for them for over a year and loved it i also have in laws there who have been there 14 yrs and and an uncle for 8 but you make your own choice i cant speak for everyone and there experience but talk to the drivers there they will all tell you that its pretty well a team company i started solo waiting on my wife to finish training and couldnt get miles i always repowered with a team.
