Hi, I've been to canada before and am looking for OTR companies that go there.

I know my last 2 companies that I worked for drove there (swift and heyl), but I'm looking for more options.

    Thanks

I'll add a few: Celadon, TMC, Roehl, Conway, Transport America. I believe both Stevens and FFE also go to Canada, if you're looking for something in the DFW area. Most of the big OTR companies do at least a little business across the border. Some Canada-based companies with American terminals may also hire U.S. drivers. That may be something else to look into. I've done a lot of eastern Canada with Swift and it gets old fast; too much sitting around waiting for paperwork, dealing with customs, etc. I hope you have a better experience.

I still have my washington license. Personally I'd rather be based out of somewhere up north(Minnesota or Wisconsin, but I know with swift they made me change my license so that I could be based out of Washington. Which intern means that I have to find an address to put down and have it mailed to. However, I've thought about the fact that DFW is within a lot of carriers hiring area and I do have a free address. I've lived out of the trucks in the past, but I'm staying at my parents currently for a free place to stay till I get my next job.

Heyl was good about getting the paperwork done on time, but they let me go without reason during my probationary period. Have been tempted to call back and find out if I could get rehired ever.

I've also been considering giving flatbed a try even though I've only ever done van and reefer.

You say based out of somewhere up North:
    Schneider - WI
    Marten - WI (drive4marten.com
    Interstate Dist. - WA (drive4us.com)
    Systems Transport -Spokane, WA (flatbed)

    Probably many others.
