Driving from Needles CA to Phoenix AZ. Wondering if the US 95 route down to Blythe CA then East to Phoenix AZ is my best route? Never driven US 95 and not sure if it's safe for trucks.

It's a good road. Very scenic too. I was on it earlier today.

It's a roller coaster road but it's ok to run.

It's good enough for trucks but be careful at night... Every time I've run that section of 95 at night I've either come across drunk drivers or a wreck. The section between Blythe and Needles especially.

All of 95 is a roller coaster. Not too much fun in the winter time in some spots but very scenic with a million places to pull off.

If you take US 95 you do not bypass the AZ POE, you hit I-10 in California. AZ state route 95, brings you to I-10 in Quartzite east of the POE.

I take Needles to Rialto - 95,62,177 from 40 to 10 occasionally - the 95 is nice, bit rolly like they said.
